Ingredients: 
1lb/ 500gms carrots
6oz/150 grams red lentils
2 onions
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
800ml water
fresh coriander to serve
Method: 

  • Place red lentils with the water in saucepan
  • Roughly chop onions and carrots and add to the pan
  • Add soya sauce, garam masala, cumin and coriander
  • Bring up to heat and simmer for 20 minutes
  • Liquidize and serve with some fresh coriander sprinkled on top
